Bedrooms
Make every advertised bed properly and give guests somewhere to put luggage and clothing. Check bedside lighting, curtains or blinds, plugs and heating. Remove excessive personal clutter so the room feels available to the guest rather than borrowed for one night.
Bathrooms
Test showers, hot water and locks. Provide clean towels, toilet paper, hand soap and basic storage space. For larger groups, make it obvious which bathrooms are private and which are shared.
Kitchen
Leave clean fridge space, working appliances, enough cups, glasses, plates and cutlery for the group, and the basics needed to prepare breakfast. Guests attending early event days will value a kitchen that works without instructions for every cupboard.
Dining and living areas
Check that the dining table and seating actually accommodate the advertised group. Clear fragile personal ornaments from busy communal areas and make sure the main sitting room is comfortable for everyone staying.

Test the connection and write the network name and password somewhere obvious. If a television or heating control is unusually complicated, leave a short instruction rather than a full appliance manual.
Parking and arrival
