Ryder Cup 2027 dates and venue
The 2027 Ryder Cup will be staged at the Golf Course at Adare Manor, County Limerick. Official event week runs from 13 to 19 September 2027. Practice activity builds through the week before match play takes place from 17 to 19 September.

Where should you stay for Ryder Cup 2027?

Adare and the immediate area

Properties close to Adare can be particularly attractive to smaller executive groups, VIP guests and visitors who want to minimise daily travel. For larger parties, insisting on Adare itself can narrow the search unnecessarily.
Limerick City and County Limerick
Limerick City is one of the most practical bases for the week. In normal traffic it is roughly half an hour from Adare, depending on the starting point and route, and it offers a much broader choice of restaurants, pubs, shops and services than the host village.
Elsewhere in County Limerick, towns and rural areas such as Croom, Rathkeale, Newcastle West, Foynes, Askeaton and surrounding countryside can offer larger homes, private parking and more space for groups. The strongest choice is not always the property with the shortest drive; for a party staying six or seven nights, extra bedrooms, bathrooms and shared living space can matter more.
Shannon and Ennis
County Clare is a strong alternative, particularly for international visitors arriving through Shannon Airport. Shannon and Ennis provide straightforward access to Limerick while also giving guests airport convenience and a wider pool of private homes.
Ennis is especially useful for groups that want restaurants, traditional pubs and a lively town centre after a day at the golf. Rural Clare can also work well for parties combining the Ryder Cup with additional golf or touring before or after the event.
Killarney, Tralee and north Kerry
Kerry becomes attractive when the accommodation itself is an important part of the trip. Killarney and Tralee are farther from Adare than Limerick or Clare, but they offer a strong tourism infrastructure, excellent restaurants and pubs, and access to some of Ireland's best-known golf courses and scenery.

Galway, Cork and the wider region
Galway and Cork can work for extended-stay visitors, but they should not be treated as equivalent to staying in Limerick. The journey is materially longer, particularly once event traffic and temporary road arrangements are taken into account.
These locations make most sense when a group has found an exceptional property, is attending the Ryder Cup on selected days, or is deliberately building a wider Irish holiday around the event.
Private home or hotel?
Hotels are convenient for couples and short stays, but private homes have clear advantages for groups. One house can keep everyone together and provide a kitchen, dining space, sitting room, parking and outdoor space that would otherwise be split across several hotel rooms.
