The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am runs from 1 to 7 February 2027. For accommodation planning, the useful detail is not only the date. The tournament is a PGA TOUR Signature Event with 80 professionals and 80 amateurs. Spectators can move between the two courses on Thursday and Friday using the tournament's complimentary course-to-course shuttle, while weekend play is concentrated at Pebble Beach. For a guest staying several nights, the best base is therefore the one that works for the whole programme rather than the one with the smallest number on a map.
Pebble Beach: best when proximity is the priority
A private residence inside or immediately around Pebble Beach can be compelling for a senior executive group, sponsor party or private client who wants the event to dominate the week. The location reduces ordinary road movement and can make it easier to return to the residence between golf and evening plans.
The trade-off is supply. Pebble Beach is not a large accommodation market, and a house should still be judged on bedrooms, bathrooms, parking, access and whether the group will genuinely use the residence during the day. Paying purely for the address can be poor value if the party spends most of its time elsewhere.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: the strongest all-round leisure base
Carmel works especially well for groups that want the golf and the destination. It gives visitors restaurants, bars, walkable evenings and a strong choice of private homes while remaining close to Pebble Beach.
For couples and smaller groups, this can be the easiest balance. For corporate groups, the key question is whether the chosen residence has the bedroom and bathroom standard required for adults travelling independently.
Pacific Grove: practical, coastal and often overlooked
Pacific Grove sits on the northern side of the Peninsula and can provide a useful middle ground. It suits visitors who want coastal character and a quieter base without being far removed from Monterey or Pebble Beach.
A good Pacific Grove property with parking and several proper bedrooms can outperform a more fashionable address if the group is leaving early, returning late and needs the house to function smoothly rather than simply photograph well.
Monterey: strongest for larger and more operational groups
Monterey has the broadest accommodation and service base on the Peninsula. It can suit larger groups, media teams, sponsors and visitors who value restaurants, airport access and a wider choice of homes and hotels.
For Thursday and Friday, when play is split across Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, Monterey can be more practical than it first appears. Different members of a group may have different plans, and a base that allows people to move independently can matter more than keeping everyone as close as possible to one course.
Carmel Valley: privacy and scale
Carmel Valley becomes attractive when the residence itself is part of the trip. Larger homes, grounds, pools, parking and private entertaining space can justify the additional drive for corporate hosts, families and private groups who want more room than the coastal villages typically provide.
The residence needs to earn that extra movement. If the group intends to leave once in the morning and return once in the evening, the trade can be worthwhile. If senior guests expect several returns during the day, a closer base may be stronger.
The human detail: count daily movements, not just miles
A useful way to compare two properties is to write down how often the group expects to leave and return. A house that is 15 minutes farther away but only requires one coordinated departure can be easier than a closer property that creates parking, access or bedroom compromises. This matters particularly on Thursday and Friday when the tournament operates across two courses.
Transport context for 2027
The official tournament currently states that complimentary course-to-course shuttles operate between Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill on Thursday and Friday. Tournament shuttle and parking arrangements are event-specific and should be checked again before travel. Rideshare also has a designated tournament pick-up and drop-off zone rather than unrestricted access around the grounds.

Private home or hotel?
A hotel can be stronger for a fragmented party with different arrival times, short stays and a need for full service. A private residence can be stronger when the group wants shared breakfast space, privacy, parking, evening time together or the ability to host a small private dinner where permitted.
